The 'Jane the Virgin' actress landed on hot water after she posted on Tuesday a video of her singing to Fugees' song 'Ready Or Not' and saying the N-word before later deleting the controversial video.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams weighed in on the controversy involving "Jane the Virgin" actress Gina Rodriguez after she was caught saying N-word in a video she posted online. In the Wednesday, October 16 episode of her talk show, Wendy called out the actress.

"To start with, she's a really great actress, she's a very attractive girl, she's very talented, but I have to end with what planet are you from?" Wendy said. "Don't you realize what is going on out here? You can't get away with anything anymore!"

"There's certain things you don't do," the host went on saying. "Just because you're cool with people doesn't mean you have the pass ... I don't remember the last time I called an Italian person the W-word. It rhymes with bop. You don't do that and I like Italian people and the men are particularly hot!"

"Look, we get more things to think about, you all. People are walking down the street getting stabbed and killed for no reason," Wendy shared. "Black hate crimes are at an all time high, Jewish hate crimes are at an all time high. If you saw the debate last night, you're as confused as me. You just didn't have to do it, just don't do it."

Gina landed on hot water after she posted on Tuesday a video of her singing to The Fugees' song "Ready Or Not" and saying the N-word. She quickly deleted the video after the backlash. She apologized in another video in which she said, "Hey, what's up everybody - I just wanted to reach out and apologize. I am sorry. I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to The Fugees, to a song I love, that I grew up on. I love Lauryn Hill and I really am sorry if I offended you."

As some didn't think the apology was genuine, she doubled down her apology. "In song or in real life, the words that I spoke, should not have been spoken," so the actress wrote. "I grew up loving the Fugees and Lauryn Hill. I thoughtless sang along to the lyrics of a favorite song, and even worse, I posted it. The word I sang, carried with a legacy of hurt and pain that I cannot even imagine. Whatever consequences I face for my actions today, none will be more hurtful than the personal remorse I feel."

Gina went on saying that watching her infamous video "has shaken me to my core," before adding, "It is humiliating that this has to be a public lesson but it is indeed a much deserved lesson. I feel so deeply protective and responsible to the community of color but I have let this community down. I have some serious learning and growing to do and I am so deeply sorry for the pain I have caused."
