The 'We Fly High' rapper likens the media sensation about Tekashi 6ix9ine's testimony, which included a claim that he's a gang member, to 'circus,' adding that he eventually 'calmed down' and 'laughed at it.'

AceShowbiz - Jim Jones has responded to rumors that he's an informant who's working with the feds. The reports started to spread on the Internet after Tekashi69 a.k.a. 6ix9ine outed him as a gang member. While he mostly kept his silence on the brouhaha, the 43-year-old rapper discussed it on "The Angie Martinez Show".

"For the most part...you never know that you're in the circus until you figure out you was looking at a clown. When the clown gives out information, everybody laughs. But for the most part, everyone knows I'm a substantial individual - I've been doing this for a very long time," he said of the informant rumors.

Blasting the misleading reports, Jim admitted he almost lost his cool over the accusation. "People don't read the facts, they read the' Gram. It's a big difference, and people use the media to do what they do. They blow everything up out of proportion," he claimed. "As far as my feelings... Of course, it took me somewhere else at the moment when I saw it, but then I calmed down, sat back, laughed at it, looked at the person who was dishing it, and thought about it."

Jim refused to talk much about 6ix9ine's testimony and an audio that allegedly featured his voice, but stressed this, "I do say one thing: Where I'm from, real n***as don't do bullsh*t to tarnish people's name... at all. That's not honorable. We don't got to talk about that too much. If you know me, you know me."

Previously, 50 Cent dissed Jim by tweeting after 6ix9ine's testimony, "Jimmy finna do the race, they got his name all in that s**t." He also shared an article that said the "Perfect Day" rapper was cooperating with federal investigators, but later deleted it.

Commenting on his beef with the "Power" star, he said on "The Breakfast Club", "I wish I could I be in a position to say what I really want to say but unfortunately, my life has been hectic." He added, "But where I am from, I do know people that we call real n***as or stand up men, we don't try to tarnish people's names by doing bulls**t antics. It's consequences and repercussions for certain things like that... I'll leave it like that... Some people think life is a game, so we'll leave it at that."
