In related news, SM Entertainment has announced through its official Twitter account that it has prepared a separate memorial for the former member of f(x), who passed away on Monday.

AceShowbiz - SM Entertainment has shared details about the funeral proceedings for Korean singer and actress Sulli, who passed away on Monday, October 14. The agency revealed on Monday that her family's wished to to carry out her funeral quietly with no media coverage allowed.

In the statement, SM Entertainment said, "Sulli has left our side. We cannot believe the situation now and we are just filled with grief. For her family who is grieving after the sudden news of her passing, we earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors. We express our deep condolences."

However, a reporter named Kang Hyojin shared the location of Sulli's funeral which enraged fans. It seemed like the article was released before the official statement, though the publication didn't revise or delete the article even after the firm request for Sulli's family to stay private during the ceremony.

Following the backlash, someone who was claimed to be Kang's sister revealed that her sister was framed by one of her supervisos. "After the incident, they changed the name of the reporter to my sister. I am so upset and frustrated that a superior would use their employees to post something like this," she explained.

"I am so upset that her face is now known to the public and is receiving hate for something that she did not do. Other reporters who don't know the whole story are releasing news about this. I am so mad that my sister, who had been expressing her condolences for this incident, has had to have received this unnecessary backlash. The company has not released any statement to clarify the situation either. The only thing I can do as a sister is post the truth," she continued.
