AceShowbiz - BTS' (a.k.a. Bangtan Boys) Jungkook recently set Twitter abuzz again with his new haircut. The youngest member of the South Korean boyband shocked fans as he debuted his new shorter hair on Sunday, October 13 local time, after ARMY just started to embrace his long hair.
The 22-year-old singer posted on the group's official Twitter page three photos of him sporting the new short haircut, which is similar to his previous so-called "coconut" haircut before he grew out his hair. He simply captioned it with, "Cut," and added several eye emojis and a smiley face.
This was exceptionally surprising since Jungkook just amazed fans with his breathtaking visuals while still rocking his longer tresses at the group's concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, October 11. The K-Pop idol even still seemed to have his longer hair when he and his bandmates arrived at Incheon Airport in Seoul on Sunday afternoon.
His new haircut soon got people talking on the micro-blogging site, sending "HE CUT HIS HAIR" to become a trending topic in the United States. Meanwhile, the French phrase for it "IL A COUPE" and #StayStrongArmy were trending in France.
Fans also expressed their mixed feelings about Jungkook's new shorter hair. "I'm so sad but if you're happy, i'm happy too kookie!! don't worry your hair will be grow soon," one wrote. Another added, "I will miss your long hair babe."
"He cut his hair but it’s cute but I also loved his long hair IM HEARTBROKEN," read another tweet, while someone else enthused, "IN LOVING MEMORY OF JEON JUNGKOOK'S LONG HAIR (2019-2019) YOU WILL BE MISSED."
Others who love his new haircut wrote things like, "COCONUT JUNGKOOK IS BACK AND AM SO HAPPY," "You are so flawlessly handsome I'm in awe," and "I know that I’m not the only one who kinda missed Jungkook with short hair. I KNOW."
Some others remain supportive of their idol despite his decision with his hair and body. "Whether Jungkook decides to cut his hair or grow it , whether he decides to get more tattoos or do more piercings , no matter what he decides it's his own hair , his own body , his own life ... he is free and all you got to do is respect his decisions," one of them wrote.
Previously, Jungkook also divided fans after he continued to grow out his hair and showed no signs of going to cut it since BTS went on an extended period of rest in August.
