Besides talking about his much-anticipated album, the hip-hop mogul also reveals that he recently converted to Christianity during a listening session in Washington D.C.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West has finally announced the new release date of his highly-anticipated album "Jesus Is King" after a couple of delays. The rapper/hip-hop mogul made the revelation during a listening session at George Washington University in Washington D.C. over the weekend.

According to multiple people who attended the event, Kanye told them that "Jesus Is King" is now slated to hit the stores on October 25, the same day as the premiere of his IMAX film "Jesus King; A Kanye West Experience". As for the reason why he decided to push back its release date a couple of times, the "Gold Digger" rapper admitted that it was because he tried to make it "better for y'all."

"Jesus Is King" first expected to arrive on September 27, before his wife Kim Kardashian announced that the release date had been pushed back to Sunday, September 29. However, on its supposed date, the effort wasn't released and was delayed indefinitely.

Besides revealing the album's new release date, Kanye also announced that he recently converted to Christianity during the listening session. In a video obtained by TMZ, the "Famous" rapper could be heard telling the crowd, "I want to let you know that I am not here for your entertainment this afternoon. We are here to spread the gospel. Excuse me if I mispronounce anything. I am a recent convert. It means I recently got saved within this year."

His announcement came as no surprise though, given that he has been holding weekly Sunday Service and even named his new album "Jesus Is King". Furthermore, Kim recently traveled to Armenia and had their children and herself baptized. Sharing photos from the ritual, the makeup mogul said, "So blessed to have been baptized along with my babies at Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia's main cathedral, which is sometimes referred to as the Vatican of the Armenian Apostolic Church."
