AceShowbiz - Fans have been left wondering about the identity of Usher's new girlfriend after a photo of them putting on a loved-up display went viral on the Internet. MTO News has now revealed that the lady in the photo is music executive Jen Goicoechea and obtained a photo of the lovebirds during a dinner date.
Jen is the Director of the Rhythm & Soul (Urban) Department at ASCAP in Atlanta. Another source claims that the couple has been romantically linked for months, with them attending Keith Thomas' 40th Birthday Celebration at Republic on June 4, 2019 in the city. It's also been reported that the music executive was spotted with the singer backstage during One Music Fest in early last month.
Rumors of his new romance first emerged after photographer Jennifer Johnson posted on Instagram a photo of him and Jen together backstage at a recent concert. In the said photo, Usher was seen grinning ear to ear as Jen placed a kiss on his cheek. Both of them opted for casual looks in the image, with the lady sporting a green jumpsuit and brought along a yellow Burberry sling bag.
Jen is the first woman that Usher has been linked to romantically since his split from wife of 3 years Grace Miguel. In a statement announcing their separation last year, the exes said, "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phase of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward."
Nine months after that, the "Yeah!" singer filed papers to officially end their marriage on December 28, 2018. The two do not share children together, but Usher has two sons from his marriage to Tameka Foster.
