Splash News and Picture Agency claim to own the rights to the picture of the 'Hustlers' star going for a romantic stroll with her fiance that she shared on Instagram Story in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over a photo she shared of her and fiance Alex Rodriguez via Instagram Story in 2017.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, bosses at Splash News and Picture Agency state that they own the rights to the image, in which the "Hustlers" star can be seen going for a romantic stroll with the ex sportsman.

"Plaintiff never licensed the Photograph to defendant. Nevertheless, Lopez used it without authorization or permission from plaintiff to do so," the documents state. "Specifically, Lopez or someone acting on her behalf copied the Photograph and distributed it on Instagram, via the @jlo account, on a story posted November 7, 2017."

Those filing the suit also claim that Lopez was notified of her infringement "through her representatives," in December of 2017 and maintain Lopez hindered the photographer's ability to earn revenue from the image by making it "immediately available to Lopez's tens of millions followers and others, consumers of entertainment news."

The story comes a month after Gigi Hadid was also sued over a photo she shared to Instagram Story of her ex, Zayn Malik.
