During an appearance on 'The Talk', the 'Luke Cage' actor shares with the hosts that their families are 'very proud' of him and the 'How to Get Away with Murder' star.

AceShowbiz - Mike Colter still can't believe it took him four decades to meet his famous second cousin Viola Davis.

The 43-year-old actor met the Oscar winner for the first time back in April after missing her time and time again at family functions.

"Honestly, we had never met but our families have family reunions, and they talk about us and stuff," Mike told "The Talk" on Thursday, September 26. "They are very proud of us".

"We're just very busy... In L.A. you could be right next to someone, in the same neighbourhood, you're never home; you're filming somewhere; they're busy... And we just never got caught up...

"I figured we would just work it out, and we connected, and we just made it happen. Took us about a week. We were like, 'Let's get some coffee and talk'... Good times".
