Weighing in on the organization's plan to scrap gender categories, Piers says, 'I think it's just great that time honored traditions should be scrapped because one guy can't decide if he is male or female.'

AceShowbiz - Reports have been swirling that Brit Awards is considering to scrap gender categories for the 2021 ceremony after Sam Smith revealed that they are no longer using male and female pronouns to identify themselves. This speculation has sparked Piers Morgan's anger and as usual, he is not afraid to make his opinion public.

In the Monday, September 23 episode of "Good Morning Britain", the broadcaster said, "I think it's just great that time honored traditions should be scrapped because one guy can't decide if he is male or female. So they are saying they want to accommodate non binary performers like Sam Smith. Now he'll enter the non binary categories."

"The whole point of having gender categories is to make it fair, to make it equal. Now we are going to go the other way. Well I think it is a load of nonsense. The idea you have to change entire award categories for one guy, it's nonsense," Piers continued. "If you want to do that Sam Smith, that's your dime. Don't change everything else for you because that ain't the way it should play."

Sam has yet to respond to Piers' comment, but many people have come to their defense. "Why does [Piers Morgan] always have to come for everyone younger, more talented etc than he? What a negative, gross person. The irrelevance lept out again," one said. "What does he even do for living? Does he always come for the talented a** artist for no f***ing reason," another wrote.

Someone else wondered whether the journalist could "keep his 1950s opinions to himself," adding, "He is so disgusting and horrible as a human being and just attacks everyone cuz that's the only way he can get into news." An individual wrote, "We don't care about piers. Sam can be who the f**k they want to be. Piers will always be trash and he can't change that."
