AceShowbiz - If there's one thing that can make Will and Jada Pinkett Smith fear for their son Jaden Smith's health, it is his eating habits. At one point, the "Icon" rapper's eating habits apparently had become so bad that the married couple decided to stage an intervention for him, as they recalled in the Monday, September 23 episode of "Red Table Talk".
As they discussed health and food in the episode, Jada then talked about the said event. "Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he's a vegan now, but we realized he wasn't getting enough protein," she explained. "So he was wasting away. He just looked drained, he was just depleted, he wasn't getting enough nutrients."
Will Smith then remembered the toll that Jaden's eating habits took on his health, saying that his actor son once had "dark circles under his eyes" and "even a little grayness" to his skin. The "Aladdin" star noted, "We got really nervous, but you're definitely looking better now." Jaden later clarified, "I also just wanna say that I'm vegetarian, that I've tried to be vegan. I'm vegetarian, you know, I've tried to eat vegan meals. I'll go vegan for a week or so but for the past year I've been vegetarian."
"The Karate Kid" actor continued, "I was just eating like two meals a day...maybe one. Maybe just that one big meal and I'm like, 'Oh, you know, I didn't get around to it.' " However, that habits of his soon manifested into sickness that once sent him into a hospital in Australia and left his entire family in fear. Willow Smith recalled, "That scared me. I was about to hop on the plane to Australia." Trey Smith then said that they were all feeling the same.
