The 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' star rocks a flowing blonde wig to portray a member of an immortal alien race in the upcoming Marvel superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie has traded her Maleficent horns for a blonde wig as she has been filming Marvel Studios' "The Eternals". New photos from the set have now leaked online, giving the first look at the Academy Award-winning actress as Thena.

In some pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the 44-year-old star sported a flowing blonde wig and a white dress. Jolie was spotted during the shooting at a lake in England, where she was seen scattering some ashes in ethereal scenes.

None of the other announced cast members was pictured on the set with Jolie that day.

Based on Marvel comic created by Jack Kirby in 1976, "The Eternals" is about near-immortal beings the Eternals and their more gargantuan antagonists the Deviants, who were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials. The Celestials experimented on humans creating both races of immortal spinoffs.

Jolie's character Thena is described as a member of the superhero group, who protects humanity from their evil counterparts the Deviants.

The "Wanted (2008)" star previously said about her casting in the movie, "I'm so excited to be here. I'm going to work 10 times harder because I think what it means to be a part of the MCU, what it means to be an Eternal, to be a part of this family, I know what we all need to do. We have all read the script. We have all know what the task ahead is and we are all going to be working very, very hard. I'm training. I am thrilled. Thank you so much."

She also revealed that her six children are excited to see her in a Marvel blockbuster. "What's really moving to me is that they want to see me strong, and so it's less to see me in a film, but they're just happy I will be strong and having fun," she told People.

Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Gemma Chan, Brian Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff and Don Lee a.k.a. Ma Dong Seok will also star in the movie, which is directed by Chloe Zhao. The film is scheduled for a November 6, 2020 release in the United States.
