AceShowbiz - Jesy Nelson broke down and cried while performing "The Cure" with Little Mix after her bandmates comforted her over her past mental health struggles.
Jesy, 28, opened up about how online trolls turned her dream of becoming a popstar into a nightmare in a recent BBC documentary.
Footage filmed by a fan of the group performing in Milan, Italy on Wednesday, September 18, shows the singer struggling to contain her emotions as they sang the line "I was a little messed up, but I'm not any more".
Her bandmates then comforted her on stage, with Perrie Edwards hugging the singer as the four-piece belted out the lyrics from their hit.
Speaking about the documentary, which showed how hurtful online comments drove her to the brink of suicide following the band's 2011 "The X Factor" U.K. win, Jesy told British radio station Capital FM how distraught she became.
"Everything changed – my confidence, me as a person," the "Black Magic" singer shared. "I didn't want to go out. I missed work, missed shows. I was just like 'woah' and it really affected me mentally because I thought: 'Oh god, if they're saying it, it must be true".
In the BBC documentary Jesy remembered how she felt like she wanted to die because she felt the pain and stigma of nasty comments about her looks and weight would never go away.
