The LGBTQ political activist was arrested on Tuesday and charged with operating a drug den as prosecutors call him a violent sexual predator who preys on homeless men.

AceShowbiz - Prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck has been arrested after two men died of overdose at his place and a third man overdosed but survived last week. The LGBTQ political activist was taken into police custody on Tuesday, September 17.

The 65-year-old has been charged with operating a drug house as prosecutors called him a violent sexual predator who preys on homeless men struggling with addiction. He's also charged with three counts of battery for allegedly causing serious injury and is accused of injecting the alleged third victim with methamphetamine.

The arrest came after two African American men, 26-year-old Gemmel Moore and 55-year-old Timothy Dean, were found dead in Ed's Laurel Avenue apartment in West Hollywood in 2017 and in January of this year, respectively. The latest victim, identified in court papers as Joe Doe, went to Ed's apartment on September 4, where the former actor "personally and deliberately" administered a large dose of methamphetamine, prosecutors said.

Concerned he was suffering an overdose, the man left the apartment to get medical help. He returned to Ed's apartment on September 11, when Ed again injected him with "two dangerously large" doses of methamphetamine, according to prosecutors. Ed allegedly thwarted the man's attempt to get help. The man eventually fled the apartment and called 911 from a gas station. He was taken to a hospital where he received treatment.

"From his home, in a position of power, Buck manipulates his victims into participating in his sexual fetishes," prosecutors claimed in court papers. "These fetishes include supplying and personally administering dangerously large doses of narcotics to his victims.... Not deterred by the senseless deaths of Moore and Dean, the defendant nearly killed a third victim last week."

Prosecutors are asking that his bail be set at $4 million. He is due in court on Wednesday for his arraignment.

People have been celebrating on Twitter following Ed's arrest. "Yaaassssss! That's Ed Buck. And that's Ed Buck going to jail," so Jasmyne Cannick tweeted. She claimed in another post, "Y'all I'm a bit overwhelmed right now. This has been two years of my life fighting for this man to be arrested. Let me get it together. I'll be back with all the deets and more. My phone won't stop ringing I'm still out here at Ed Buck's doing interviews."

"Need to charge his serial killing a**, with murder," another reacted. Someone else posted, "They finally arrested Ed Buck, a rich democrat sponsor who has had not one, but two people turn up dead of drug overdoses in his home in the last year, after another near fatal OD case last week."
