Police officials reveal that the country singer was driving on State Road 522 when she clipped the back of another car, lost control of her vehicle and careened into an oncoming Jeep.

AceShowbiz - Police officials in New Mexico believe country star Kylie Rae Harris was responsible for the three-vehicle crash, which claimed her life and that of a teenager.

Investigators have told Taos News that speed and alcohol were factors in the accident, revealing Harris was driving a Chevrolet Equinox on State Road 522 when she clipped the back of a Chevrolet Avalanche, lost control of her vehicle and careened into an oncoming Jeep, driven by Maria Cruz.

Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe has placed the blame for the accident on Harris, telling the newspaper, "At this time I will say with most certainty that Miss Cruz was an innocent victim of this senseless crash caused by Ms. Harris".

According to public records, Harris had two past citations for drink driving and speeding - and an ignition interlock was installed in her car following a 2017 DWI arrest.

Meanwhile, GoFundMe accounts have been launched to raise funds for Harris and Cruz's funeral expenses and for Harris' six-year-old daughter.
