AceShowbiz - Jennifer Aniston graces the cover for October 2019 Beauty Issue of InStyle magazine. The "Friends" alum gets candid about turning 50, which is something that everyone should applaud. However, the pictorial pictures for the magz raise people's eyebrows as Jennifer looks almost unrecognizable.

In one of the five separate looks, which are inspired by a beauty icon from the '60s and '70s, for the the new issue, the actress was seen rocking a strapless bra. Channeling Veruschka von Lehndorff, a German model from the '60s, she completed her look with a number of chunky gold jewels. Jennifer looked stunning as usual, but fans couldn't help but notice that she looked noticeably darker.

"Beautiful cover, but why is she ten shades darker than she really is," one fan questioned in the comment section of a post shared by InStyle magazine's official Instagram account. Echoing the sentiment, another user added, "I don't remember her being this dark."

"She doesn't look black but she certainly doesn't look like herself. It's not a good picture of her," another comment read. One person, meanwhile, said that the photo editor didn't do their job well. "Where is the lovely Jennifer Anniston? This photo editor should be fired."

"She is gorgeous n has natural beauty. What u did to her on this cover is insulting to her," one fan suggested. "Airbrushing on this is awful. She's beautiful as is, why cover up her natural face?" another fan said, while someone else dubbed the picture "horrifying."

The criticism aside, Jennifer opened up about turning 50 in the cover story. "Fifty was the first time I thought, 'Well, that number.' I don't know what it is because I don't feel any different. Things aren't shutting down in any way. I feel physically incredible. So it's weird that it's all of a sudden getting telegraphed in a way that's like, 'You look amazing for your age.' I think we need to establish some etiquette around that dialogue and verbiage."

"The Morning Show" star also said that she didn't plan to stop coloring her hair. "I'm not gonna lie -- I don't want gray hair." She went on saying that she planned "to keep her monthly colorist appointments until the bitter end."
