AceShowbiz - Fans undoubtedly play a big role in stars' career as they are the ones who give them constant support and encouragement for their favorites. With that, celebrities are often trying their best to give back to their fans and appreciate them for their love. While some stars express their appreciation through their works, some others don't hesitate to go above and beyond to make their fans feel special.
Recently, rapper Lil Uzi Vert showed some kindness to his fans who came up to ask him outright to pay for his education fees. The student, who reportedly identified himself as Raheel Ahmad, told the "Money Longer" hitmaker that his tuition at Temple University was $90,000, prompting Uzi to agree to his request.
The hip-hop star told the stunned student that he would pay the bill, but he had to adhere to certain conditions. "Make sure you show me all of your transcripts, everything," Uzi could be heard telling Raheel. "Show me all your papers and everything, and you'll get 90 thousand from me. I'm serious. If you don't show me, you won't get 90 grand from me... you gotta show me the proof."
Giving fans financial support is one of the common ways of celebrities to repay the love they have been receiving from fans. However, some other stars have their own unique way to give their fans special treatment. Some stars were personally involved in their fans' love journey, while some others opted to show their love in what looked like a small thing but would definitely leave a huge impression to their fans.
Here are some celebrities who didn't hesitate to go extra mile to make their fans happy.
Taylor Swift is known for being sweet to her fans, Swifties. The "ME!" singer has done countless touching things for them, but this may be one of the best things a fan could ever wish from their idol. The country-turned-pop star once helped her fan named Stephanie Waw, who was pregnant and homeless at the time, buy a home.
"My mom told Taylor [about my situation] and just asked her to make me feel special at her show I was attending in Manchester," Waw wrote on the singer's app, The Swift Life, in December 2017. "After the show, Taylor took us back to her dressing room where she told me, 'Stephanie, You've been in my life for a long time and you’ve never asked me for anything. You could have reached out and I would have helped you. But you didn't. Your mom told me.' [Taylor] told me she wanted to give me the money back for my ticket that night. What she actually did was help us buy a home and all I needed for my baby. She told me, 'I want you to be able to enjoy your little girl, not have to worry about all this stuff.' "
Niall Horan is your personal Starbucks coffee delivery man. Back in December 2016, the One Direction member went to New York City to film for "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". The singer then noticed that a lot of his fans were waiting outside while the weather was so cold, making them shiver in their coats and gloves.
Upon realizing that, Niall treated them to hot chocolate from Starbucks. As if it wasn't adoring enough, he personally went to try four different Starbucks locations before he was able to find a 24-hour store for his treat. "NIALL WENT TO FOUR DIFFERENT STARBUCKS TO GET DRINKS FOR THE FANS WHO WERE WAITING IN LINE FOR TICKETS HES SUCH AN ANGEL," one fan gushed. Niall and his kind heart warmed his fans, both literally and figuratively.
Celebrities helping fans propose is a common thing, but personally popping the question for fans? It surely is not. That was what actor Tom Hanks was willing to do for his fans at the Texas Book Festival in Austin where he was promoting his new book, "Uncommon Type: Some Stories".
The "Forrest Gump" star did the surprise on behalf of a fan named Ryan McFarling during the Q&A portion. "Here's Ryan's question, and it's for Nikki Young," Tom read the question to the crowd, before adding, "Nikki, will you marry me?" The pair then joined the "Big" actor onstage before Nikki Young burst into tears when Ryan got down on one knee and proposed.
Zac Efron continues to prove that he's his fans' biggest fan. "The Greatest Showman" actor had an interesting encounter with one of his fans during the filming of "Baywatch" back in 2016. The fan, named Ahmed Ture, wanted to document his brief encounter with the actor on his Snapchat account so he ran after the star. Unfortunately, he fell and shattered his phone's screen badly during the crazy run.
The fan shared the whole story on Instagam and being a cool and rich person that he is, Zac immediately bought the fan a brand new phone. "I'ma hook you up with a new phone my brother! To all my fans out there holdin it down - love and respect. And be careful with your phones," Zac commented on Ahmed's post. In addition to the new phone, the "High School Musical" star also invited him to the set of "Baywatch", a movie in which he starred along with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Justin Bieber once helped make one of his fans' dream Quinceanera. The Canadian heartthrob visited 21-year-old Ashley's house to take her to the party which she initially missed due to a life-threatening battle with meningitis. The "Baby" singer went all out to make Ashley, who often used Justin's music to help her hold on during her battle, feel special for the night.
In addition to organizing the dream party, Justin prepared a beautiful pink gown for her to wear. Channeling a prince charming just for his fan, Justin brought her to a surprise location which was a hall filled with all the special people in her life. The pair spent the night away with a slow dance before he presented her with a tiara.
Martin Garrix won't let his fans miss his performance just because of financial issue. A fan named Chris McPadden told the DJ on Twitter about how he might not be able to catch his 2016 performance in Amsterdam because he couldn't afford the flight despite having the concert tickets. "please sponsor me a flight to Amsterdam Friday. I have two tickets for you and I can't afford th flights now #please help," he wrote.
Martin took notice of the plea so he quickly contacted the fan through DM. The producer asked Chris to send him "your passport scans and I'll book you a flight arriving friday leaving sunday." When he really did book round-trip flights for him, Chris was made speechless. "Oh my god I'm speechless thank you so much," the fan wrote back, feeling extremely grateful. He also raved about Martin in a new tweet, saying, "that boy seriously is all about his fans. THANK YOU SO F***ING MUCH."
Nicki Minaj believes that education is one of the most important things in life, and it seems like she's using her power as a worldwide star to help her fans have the access to get proper education. In 2017, the "MEGATRON" hitmaker coolly held a contest in which she would pay tuitions for students who could show her "straight A's."
Requests began rolling once the raptress opened the Oprah Winfrey-like contest. Some people who didn't have perfect grade average points tried to made their cases, asking the Trinidadian star to help them pay for room and board, books and other college necessities with some requests being granted on the spot.
Imagine having your idol among the crowds at your wedding. Branka Delic, a super Bon Jovi fan from Australia, experienced the exciting moment when singer Jon Bon Jovi appeared at her Las Vegas nuptials in 2016. The musician, who was in town for Bon Jovi's "Because We Can" tour, decided to surprise her as he came to the Graceland Wedding Chapel for her, much to the fan's delight.
Probably thinking it was too good to be true, she initially thought it was some kind of a prank which someone pulled on her big day. Joining her in her special moment was huge enough, but Bon Jovi was being extra sweet to Delic by walking her down the aisle. He also personally congratulated the couple on Twitter, writing, "Congratulations @branksd! May you & Gonzalo have a lifetime of happiness, love & memories together - ALWAYS!"
