AceShowbiz - Nipsey Hussle's daughter Emani and his baby mama Tanisha Foster apparently need grief counseling. According to court documents filed by Tanisha's attorney on Thursday, August 29 as part of her custody battle against Nipsey's family, the 10-year-old girl and her mother have been attending private grief counseling sessions.
"I am pleased to report that my client and her daughter have each had private grief counseling sessions," the attorney states, adding that they're "making excellent progress and are both benefiting by the grief counseling."
In the documents, the attorney also reports that Tanisha's monitored visits with her daughter went well. He claims that Emani "very much enjoys seeing her mother, and that there have been no issues of any kind as it relates to my client."
He, however, complaints about Nipsey's family not abiding by the scheduled drop off time, informing the court that Emani was dropped off more than 2 hours late for a scheduled visit last week. Tanisha says the only explanation she got was bad traffic.
Tanisha and Nipsey's family have been locked in a bitter custody battle over Emani since the rapper, whose real name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom, passed away in March. Emani has been in the care of the "They Roll" hitmaker's sister Samantha Smith since Nipsey's death.
In May, Tanisha accused Samantha of taking the 10-year-old girl "unlawfully" and refusing to give her back. She admitted she was "pissed off" and claimed that she hadn't seen her daughter in months. Nipsey's family claimed Tanisha cannot provide a stable environment for the young girl, but Tanisha has been arguing that she has always been a pillar of strength for her daughter.
During the Thursday hearing, the judge set October 15 as the trial date for custody of Emani. The judge also named Sam permanent administrator of Nipsey's estate.
