Executive producer James L. Brooks reveals on Twitter that 'The Favourite' star will lend her voice to the most down home femme fatale ever on the long-running animated series.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Colman is voicing a character in "The Simpsons".

The Oscar-winning actress will play a femme fatale who falls in love with Homer Simpson in an episode of the 31st season of the long-running animated series.

Executive producer James L. Brooks announced the big news on Twitter on Friday (August 16), and was genuinely excited to have the British actress on board. However, he did end up spelling her surname wrong.

"Just this second came from recording one of the best guest appearances in Simpson's history. No kidding, I am flying. Olivia Coleman playing the most down home femme fatal ever who attracts every man she's ever met but falls hard, harder than she ever imagined, for Homer Simpson," he shared.
