The 'Makin' Me Look Good Again' crooner has been rushed to hospital after he was taken off stage 15 minutes into his set as the opening act for Scotty McCreery in Roanoke, Virginia.

AceShowbiz - Country singer Drake White was rushed to hospital after collapsing on stage.

The 35-year-old was 15 minutes into his set as the opening act for fellow country singer Scotty McCreery at Elmwood Park Amphitheater in Roanoke, Virginia on Friday, August 16 when he tumbled during the performance, PEOPLE reports.

White was caught by one of the members in his band, and was taken off stage and transported to a local hospital.

The "Makin' Me Look Good Again" hitmaker later took to Twitter to assure his fans he was fine, and told them he was continuing to receive treatment in hospital.

"Hey friends- sorry we had to cut it short tonight. I'm getting checked out by some of Roanoke's finest docs and will keep you posted," he tweeted. "Thanks for your prayers and continued support. Love ya!"

According to PEOPLE, the singer has more dates scheduled across the U.S., including South Carolina, Kansas, Texas, California, Massachusetts, and Kentucky, and will then head to Australia for more gigs.

He then returns to America in October to finish off his tour, which concludes on November 16 in Nebraska.

It's not yet known if he will postpone the concerts after his hospitalisation.
