Reverend William O'Malley, who played Father Dyer in the 1973 horror classic, has been named as a serial sexual abuser in a case filed by an ex-student at McQuaid Jesuit High School.

AceShowbiz - The real-life priest who played Father Dyer in 1973 horror classic "The Exorcist" has been accused of sexual abuse in a new lawsuit.

Reverend William O'Malley has been named as a serial sexual abuser in a case filed by a former student at McQuaid Jesuit High School in upstate New York.

According to TMZ, the unnamed plaintiff has alleged the spiritual leader molested the then-17 year old "multiple times" from 1985 to 1986 in a classroom, in school hallways and even at events hosted by the school.

Although O'Malley has not been named as a defendant in the lawsuit, the ex-pupil has sued multiple other parties, including the Rochester diocese, as well as several schools and churches in the area.

The case was filed as part of New York state's new Child Victims Act, which grants victims of child sexual abuse a one-year window to make claims that would normally not be valid pursuits under statute of limitations laws.

O'Malley, who is now 87 and living at Fordham University, has yet to comment on the allegations.

He was fired from Fordham Prep School in The Bronx in 2012 after serving as a teacher there since 1986, when he left his post at McQuaid Jesuit High School.
