AceShowbiz - Bebe Rexha is proud of her body and wants to celebrate it without considering her age. So when a male music executive told the 29-year-old is "too old to be sexy," she felt the urge to clap back at the person and she did just that on Monday, August 12. Taking to Instagram, she posted a photo of her rocking underwear.
In the caption of the image, which saw her flaunting her stunning figure in front of a mirror, Bebe penned, "I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was 'confusing.' Because... I'm a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that's not what female songwriters are suppose (sic) to do, especially for my age. I'm 29."
Bebe then expressed how "fed up" she is to be put in a box, adding, "I'm tired of women getting labeled as 'hags' when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age." Revealing she would soon turn 30 in weeks, the "Meant to Be" singer continued, "I'm not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound 'younger.' "
Concluding her post, Bebe wrote, "I'm gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I'm wiser, I'm stronger and TRUST ME I'm a much better lover than I was 10 years ago."
A number of celebrities have come to her support after she shared the post, including Taylor Swift and Rita Ora. "DRAG THEM. 29 YEAR OLDS UNITE," the "ME!" hitmaker enthusiastically commented, while the British beauty wrote, "My sexy songwriting. You are beautiful, getting sexier with age and your talent SINGS for itself. Keep making those rules." On the other hand, Lauren Jauregui exclaimed, "LET EM KNO MAMA."
