AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj is close to bidding farewell to her bachelorette life. In the latest episode of her "Queen Radio" show, the Trinidadian native confirmed that she and her boyfriend Kenneth Petty are going to get married in less than three months after obtaining a marriage license for the second time.
Explaining why the lovers had to renew their marriage license, Nicki said during the Monday, August 12 episode, "We filed for marriage license and we still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again." She later said that it had been ten days since they renewed the papers, so she now has "about 80 days."
However, their marriage will be a casual one since the Young Money femcee doesn't have time to prepare for a big ceremony due to her new album preparation. She assured that they would hold a second, bigger ceremony after that, though. "I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that I don't want to do the big wedding now. We'll do the big wedding later," she explained.
"I'll be married before my album comes out, but will have my wedding after the album comes out," she added. "Before the 90 days is over, yes, I will be married. I'm very happy about that because my baby makes me so happy."
Nicki and Kenneth made their relationship Instagram official in December 2018. The couple has since been going strong, despite the constant backlash that they keep receiving due to the fact that the latter is a registered sex offender. In late last month, they were spotted secretly taking a trip to the Beverly Hills Courthouse to obtain their marriage license. They quickly left after that.
