Fans Believe Taylor Swift Hints at Engagement to Joe Alwyn With 'Lover' Song Lyrics

The 'You Need to Calm Down' singer teases two new songs off her upcoming album 'Lover' during an interview with Vogue and the revealed lyrics have got fans convinced that she's engaged to her British actor boyfriend.

AceShowbiz - Is Taylor Swift engaged to her boyfriend Joe Alwyn? Fans believe the country-turned-pop-superstar is hinting at her supposed engagement to the British actor with lyrics of a yet-to-be-released song from her upcoming album "Lover".

The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is known for using her romances as inspiration for her songs. So when she teases two new songs from her new album, people have been guessing the meaning behind them.

One of the previewed songs features lyrics that read, "My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue/ All's well that ends well to end up with you." Taylor also shared the lyrics on her Instagram page along with a picture from the magazine's spread featuring her wearing a blue dress.

In wedding tradition, brides wear something borrowed and something blue on their big day. Whether it's coincidence or not, Taylor's fans have taken to social media to share their opinions about the meaning of the lyrics.

"HOLD UP SOMETHING BORROWED SOMETHING BLUE? MS.SWIFT ARE YOU GONNA BE TAYLOR ALWYN," one posted on Twitter, since Taylor disabled the comments on her Instagram account.

"If Taylor Swift is secretly engaged to Joe Alwyn I'll never be calm again," another fan reacted. "Taylor and Joe are engaged (not proven just theory at this point) and I cannot handle this right now," an excited user shared, while someone else added, "If Taylor and Joe are engaged I will run outside and scream at the top of my lungs while attempting to do a Somersault."

Taylor has neither confirmed nor denied the engagement speculation, but she only fueled it after liking the Tumblr page of a fan who pointed out the lyrics, which are wildly linked to the wedding tradition. "wait ... my hearts been borrowed and yours has been blue ... something borrowed and something blue ... ma'am," the said fan posted.

Taylor's seventh studio album "Lovers" will be on sale on August 23.
