Following the Coldplay frontman and the 'Suspiria' actress' reconciliation, the couple has been pictured on a double date with Chris' ex Gwyneth and her husband Brad Falchuk in the Hamptons.

AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow apparently played a big role in Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's rekindled romance. Rumor has it that the Goop founder, who is also close to the 29-year-old actress, was the one who encouraged the Coldplay frontman to get back together with Dakota after their split.

"Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it," a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. It's not clear how the "Shakespeare in Love" star convinced her ex-husband to reconcile with the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star, but the two get along well.

Back in April, the two actresses were seen hanging out together with Derek Blasberg at the fashion editor's birthday dinner. Gwyneth's husband Brad Falchuk was also seen at the party, but Chris was not seen with them. "Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy," a source told Us of how supportive the 46-year-old beauty was of the couple's relationship. The source added, "She only wants the best for him."

Following Chris and Dakota's reconciliation, they have been seen going on a double date with Gwyneth and Brad. In pictures obtained by TMZ, the foursome was soaking up the sun at the beach in the Hamptons this week.

"Dakota and Chris spent some time apart while she was filming back to back movies," a source tells E! News of the pairs' recent outing. "Now that she's wrapped they have had more time together and have been in the Hamptons with Gwyneth and the kids for the last part of the summer."

The source adds of their relationship, "Gwyneth really likes Dakota and she likes Chris and Dakota together as a couple. Dakota has always fit in really well and felt like part of the family when they all hang out. She's very mature, she's smart and she's interesting. They have a lot to talk about."

"Gwyneth doesn't get too involved in Chris' business but she does want him to be happy and supports him," the source goes on sharing. "She has seen how happy he is with Dakota and that's a good thing for everyone."

Chris and Dakota, who were first romantically linked in October 2017, were reported to have broken up in June. They sparked reconciliation rumors after being spotted together two nights in a row on July 31 and August 1.
