The 'Crazy Little Party Girl' singer sets his Instagram account private after receiving backlash for his Instagram Live video, in which he's offering a bulldog that he recently got from the pound for sale for $3,500.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Carter has come under fire after allegedly trying to sell a rescue dog for money. In an Instagram Live video which he posted over the weekend, the singer was heard saying that an English bulldog which he recently got from the pound is available for purchase for $3,500.

"This is my new buddy. So by the way, if I can't keep him, I am going to be listing him," he said in the video. "He's 10 months old, and he's running for $3,500. So if anybody wants to give my English bulldog (a home), I rescue him and I find him homes." The "I Want Candy" hitmaker added, "So if anybody wants to have my English bulldog, he's being sold for $3,500."

Internet users think it's not right that Aaron tried to profit from a rescue dog. One Twitter user posted to an apparent fan of the 31-year-old star, "You're supporting someone who literally adopts dogs from shelters claiming to be a loving caregiver, but instead sells them to others for a huge profit because they were 'owned by Aaron Carter'. You find nothing wrong with that? He goes through dog, after dog, after dog. #Truth."

Lancaster Animal Care Center, where Aaron got his new bulldog on Friday, August 2, caught a wind of his video and responded to it. It updated its Instagram post which featured pictures of Aaron with the dog to say, "We are working on this situation. Thanks to all for your concern."

The animal care center earlier praised the younger brother of Nick Carter for adopting the pup. "The awesome and talented @aaroncarter stopped by the care center today and fell in love with our little meathead, Mighty! Thank you for adopting, Aaron! We're glad Mighty gets to hang out with the flyest kid on the block! Happy tails, baby boy! We love you!" the original caption read.

Aaron, however, has denied the accusation. He took to Twitter on Sunday to respond to the backlash, writing, "I think it's apalling that I actually even have to explain myself I've rescued many dogs & found many dogs homes. what I said in my Instagram live video was a joke. Find one dog that I adopted and sold for money, be my guest. WONT HAPPEN. I'm a good person and i deserve respect."

DONT TRY IT. So back the f**k off... gn."
