AceShowbiz - It's not over yet between Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson. Over one month after it was reported that they called it quits, the 42-year-old British musician and the 29-year-old American actress have sparked reconciliation rumor.
The speculation about their rekindled romance emerges after the two were spotted together two nights in a row earlier this week. On Wednesday, July 31, the Coldplay frontman accompanied the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star to a wrap party for her upcoming film "Covers". A picture which has circulated online showed the allegedly reunited couple hanging out and posing with a fellow partygoer. Chris dressed casually for the outing in a white T-shirt and a baseball cap, while Dakota wore a one-shoulder top.
According to Us Weekly, the following night, on Thursday, Chris joined Dakota as her date at the premiere of her new film "The Peanut Butter Falcon" in Los Angeles. They were not pictured together at the special screening, though.
A source confirms the two's reunion, telling E! News, "They're planning to spend more time together later this summer."
Chris and Dakota, who started dating in 2017, were reported to have broken up in June after talking about marriage. An alleged friend told The Sun at the time, "Chris and Dakota were very easygoing and always seemed really happy together. There was talk of engagement but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone."
Another report claimed that the pair parted ways as they couldn't agree about plans to have kids. According to The Sunday Express, the rocker and his then-girlfriend were "arguing for months" about starting a family together, as the actress simply "wasn't ready to have children." The "Yellow" singer allegedly wanted to "settle down" and start a family with Dakota, but she was "nowhere near ready for that."
"Chris made it clear he wants more kids as soon as possible but Dakota's career has really taken off and that's the last thing she wanted to think about right away," a source told the site. "It got to the point, last month, where a light seemed to flick on in both their heads and they realized they were pulling in completely opposite directions - so they decided to call it a day."
Following their split, Chris was rumored to be romantically linked to fellow British singer Dua Lipa. However, his rep quickly dismissed the report, telling Daily Mail, "Contrary to reports in some press today, we would like to confirm that Chris Martin and Dua Lipa did not kiss at Glastonbury and are just friends. They were both in the same area of the festival with a larger group of friends."
