Besides name-dropping City Girls and Kevin Durant in his verse, the Canadian superstar delivers a somber hook about encouraging his loved ones to give him his flowers while he's still alive.

AceShowbiz - Drake has reunited with his frequent collaborator Rick Ross for a new song. Making its way out on Thursday, July 25, "Gold Roses" features the two rappers getting personal while trading lengthy lyrics about triumphs, loses and accomplishment.

In his verse, Drake name drops Kevin Durant when comparing his legal court battles to the athlete's trials and tribulations on the basketball court. The Canadian rap superstar also name-drops City Girls before delivering a somber hook about encouraging his loved ones to give him his flowers while he's still alive. "Put some flowers in my face won't you/ Let me know I did okay," he spits. "Don't wait till some other day, no, no."

On the other hand, Ross reflects on his wins and losses in the rap game. "Yo, I was nominated never won a Grammy/ But I understand that I will never understand it," he raps on the intoxicating beat. "A lot of lives lost but I never panic/ A lot of lines cross I never did a Xanax."

"Gold Roses" follows Drake and Ross' June collaboration "Money in the Grave", which the former unleashed to celebrate Toronto Raptors' NBA win. A music video for "Gold Roses" may be coming soon as the two were recently photographed enjoying a wine over the weekend.

Their new collaboration will be included on Ross' upcoming tenth studio album "Port of Miami 2" that is set for an August 9 release. Besides "Gold Roses", the effort will also feature "BIG TYME" and "Act a Fool" featuring Wale. Ross said of the album, " 'Port of Miami' started me on this journey. It's only right I bring it back to where it all started. For my day ones to the new ones, this album is for you. Tenth studio album. Get ready. Ride with me. It's time."
