Through a released statement, the 'I, Tonya' star confirms she is bringing Elizabeth Massie's book series to life in a partnership with Assemble Media and Warner Horizon.

AceShowbiz - Margot Robbie is developing a new television show focused on America's spookiest tales and myths.

The Australian actress and her LuckyChap Entertainment partners have teamed with bosses at Assemble Media and Warner Horizon to scare TV viewers with their take on Elizabeth Massie's "Ameri-Scares" book series.

Every episode takes place in a different state and centres on a local ghost story, according to Deadline.

"With Ameri-Scares we saw the perfect opportunity for us to delve into the horror space, and tell the kind of unique and scary stories we used to tell each other around the campfire or at sleepovers as kids," Robbie says in a statement. "We're excited to team with our partners at Assemble and Warner Horizon to bring Elizabeth Massie's cross-country series of thrilling mysteries and haunting folk stories to life."
