According to multiple sources, the royal and the Italian businessman's relationship has gotten increasingly serious to the point where they may be announcing their engagement this year.

AceShowbiz - It looks like wedding bells are soon to be ringing for Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Multiple sources allege that the couple is getting serious each day to the point where an engagement within this year will not be that impossible.

Daily Mail reports that according to their friends, Beatrice and Edoardo's relationship has become increasingly serious. "People were saying that it won't be long before Bea does the same," a source says to the publication, referencing Ed Tang and John Auerbach's nuptials that the royal and the Italian native attended last week.

Meanwhile, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes expresses he's confident that the couple will be announcing their engagement this year. He says to The Sun, "Altar-boung Beatrice looks set to be the next Royal to tie the knot and we're now so confident of an announcement this year that we've suspended betting as a result."

Palace officials have not responded to this report, but should the report be true, their nuptials will be the fourth high-profile wedding ceremony in recent years. It will follow Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May last year, Princess Eugenie's October wedding and Lady Gabriella Windsor's nuptials in May 2019.

Edoardo and Beatrice reportedly started dating in November last year, but the two didn't make their romance public until March of this year, when they walked the red carpet for the first time as a couple at the 2019 Portrait Gala at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England.

Prior to romancing Edoardo, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was in relationship with Dave Clark for nearly a decade. The former couple broke up in August 2016. "It is very much a break. It is amicable and mutual. They both need space after a period of ten years to see what they both want," a source said at the time. "They are both open-minded about what might happen in the future."
