Theodore 'Teddy' White II asks the judge to shut down his brother Edward Franklin's attempts to oust Sabrina Owens as the current personal representative of the estate.

AceShowbiz - Soul legend Aretha Franklin's children are fighting over control of their late mother's estate.

The Queen of Soul passed away in August (18) and now three of the "Respect" singer's four sons are squabbling over the management of assets she left behind, which are estimated to be worth $80 million (£64 million).

The Blast reports Theodore 'Teddy' White II has taken his brothers Kecalf and Edward Franklin to court, asking a judge to shut down the former's attempts to oust Sabrina Owens, the current personal representative of the estate, and put himself in charge.

According to court documents, Teddy has disputed Kecalf's assertions that Owens has kept Aretha's surviving relatives out of the loop regarding ongoing business matters.

He also supports the legitimacy of handwritten wills found at his mother's Detroit, Michigan home, in which she spelled out how she wanted her estate to be managed in the event of her death. Teddy claims his mother appointed himself and Sabrina as the executors of her estate in her last will and crossed Kecalf's name off the list of appointees.

Teddy wants to be legally recognised as the co-personal representative of his mum's remaining assets, alongside Owens.

The case continues.
