AceShowbiz - Country veterans Alabama have scrapped two Canadian concerts to allow frontman Randy Owen to recover from vertigo.
The band's shows in Ottawa and Oro-Medonte, set for Friday and Saturday night (July 19-20), have been cancelled and manager Tony Conway has confirmed reports suggesting Owen is ill.
"Randy is currently under doctor's care and being treated," he says in a statement. "We hope to return to both Ottawa and Oro-Medonte soon and apologize to all of the fans for not being able to perform."
The group is in the middle of its 50th Anniversary Tour, which is set to end in Nashville, Tennessee in November.
The news comes just days after it was announced Alabama will be inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2019, alongside Don Everly, The Surfaris, Steve Wariner, and The Rascals' Felix Cavaliere.
