The Gwen Stacy of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' film series has previously worked together with the 'First Man' director on 'La La Land' which won her an Oscar for Best Actress.

AceShowbiz - Oscar winners Damien Chazelle and Emma Stone are hoping to work together again on a period Hollywood movie.

Stone, who won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Chazelle's "La La Land", is mulling over a lead role in the film, "Babylon", which the in-demand director wrote. Reports suggest Brad Pitt is also interested in the project.

Deadline sources claim Lionsgate bosses, who distributed "La La Land", are the frontrunners to land the project.

Chazelle's last film, "First Man", was another "La La Land" reunion - Stone's co-star Ryan Gosling played astronaut Neil Armstrong in the movie.
