AceShowbiz - Get ready, Beyhives! It looks like Beyonce Knowles is going to release a new music video soon. The singing diva was spotted on Wednesday, July 10 filming what appeared to be a music video inside the stunning Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Bey was accompanied with a minimal production crew as she stood in front of a picturesque scene with the sun shining on a blue-green lagoon. According to the publication, Bey's team arranged their visit beforehand and the Havasupai tribe granted her use of the land for a few hours. Police were said to be present as well since the nearby campground was packed.
Booking a visit to the area is usually hard since the Havasupai tribe only allows 30 passes per day. However, the tribe made an exception for the former Destiny's Child member, who arrived to the landmark in a helicopter. She and her team reportedly left the area after five hours.
It remains to be seen what music video Bey was filming, though she recently unleashed one of her contributions to "The Lion King" soundtrack, "Spirit". Along with her Donald Glover duet "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?", the song will be included on the soundtrack album which is set to hit the stores on July 11. Bey curated the effort.
"This is sonic cinema. This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film," she said of the album in a statement. "It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat."
She continued, "I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline. Each song was written to reflect the film's storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me."
"The Lion King" is slated to premiere on July 19 in the United States.
