Andrew Glennon reportedly filed paperwork on Tuesday in attempt to gain sole custody of their one-year-old son James, just four days after Amber's arrest for assaulting him at their shared home in Indiana.

AceShowbiz - After being arrested for alleged domestic battery, Amber Portwood was hit with three felony charges. On Tuesday, July 9, the "Teen Mom" star was charged with domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and domestic battery in the presence of a child, TMZ reported.

It, however, remains unseen what the deadly weapon refers to. Police docs previously only mentioned that the MTV star hit boyfriend Andrew Glennon with a shoe on the right side of his neck during an altercation at their shared home in Indiana at around 2 A.M. on Friday, July 5. This reflected on Indiana's Marion County Jail online records, which lists two new domestic battery charges and one criminal recklessness charge under her name. She is set to attend a hearing next week.

In related news, Andrew reportedly filed paperwork on Tuesday in attempt to gain sole custody of their one-year-old son James, just four days after Amber's arrest. It was said that he filed a petition for an emergency hearing regarding the paternity and custody of their child.

Amber was taken into custody after authorities received a call from someone who claimed that he and his child were in danger. "Just after 3:00 A.M., on 7.5.2019, officers were called to [address] reference a disturbance. Officers spoke to the male victim who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement," a representative from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.

"During which time the female, later identified as Amber Portwood assaulted him, while he was holding their one-year-old child. Officers spoke to Amber Portwood at the scene. She was subsequently arrested for her alleged actions in this incident," the statement continued.

James, fortunately, wasn't harmed following the assault. As for Amber's daughter Leah, whom she shares with ex Gary Shirley, "was/is currently camping with her best friend," according to her father.

The reality TV star has been dating Andrew for two years after meeting on the set of "Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition" back in 2017. The 29-year-old star welcomed James with Andrew in May 2018.

This is not the first time for Amber to face legal troubles. The MTV personality previously served prison time for 17 months on drug charges in 2013. Back in 2010, she was also arrested on domestic violence charges after a fight with Gary.
