Oregon State Police reveal that 36-year-old Daniel James Burda has been booked for criminally negligent homicide, abuse of a corpse, criminal mistreatment and identity theft.

AceShowbiz - Police in Oregon have arrested a man in connection to the death of former "Mickey Mouse Club" star Dennis Day.

The 76-year-old, one of the original 'Mouseketeers' of the Disney variety show, disappeared a year ago after planning a trip to visit his longtime partner, Ernie Caswell, at a local care facility.

A police investigation was launched, but an extensive search failed to turn up any clues as to his whereabouts until 4 April, when a body was found in his home in Phoenix.

Suspicions were raised as cops had previously found nothing at the property, and the remains were so decomposed, authorities were unable to identify the body as Day's until last month (June 2019).

Now officials have taken 36-year-old Daniel James Burda into custody on suspicion of manslaughter. He has also been booked for criminally negligent homicide, abuse of a corpse, criminal mistreatment, and identity theft, according to Oregon State Police.

Burda had reportedly been living with Day and his husband for some time, helping them with odd jobs around the house.

His arrest on Friday (July 05) came days after he was picked up for a probation violation linked to a previous robbery count.
