The 'Roll in Peace' rapper remains in jail in Miami for allegedly making false statements on gun applications, while his attorney denies that the star lashes out at his legal team with the Instagram post's caption.

AceShowbiz - Kodak Black has just given his fans an update on his condition straight from prison. The Florida native remains incarcerated in Miami, but he seems to be in good spirits, judging from the first photo that he just shared since he was arrested in May.

The 22-year-old star was grinning as he was squatting in the image. He maintained his signature hairstyle while donning a peacock blue prison jumpsuit over a white T-shirt. While there's a strict no accessory rule for inmates, Kodak still sported a black watch in the photo. He also white socks and slippers.

The photo came with a caption which read, "The Streets Thin Na Cuz Everybody Gettin Hung .. Lawyers Sittin Back Suckin All A Nigga Funds #SG #10TOESDOWN." It was initially believed as a diss to his greedy lawyers, with Young Scooter echoing the sentiment, "Lawyers snakes too." Another rapper, Lil Yachty, voiced his support to Kodak, commenting, "Free a king."

However, Kodak's attorney Bradford Cohen has denied that the artist was angry at his legal team, saying that the caption was simply taken from old lyrics.

Kodak was arrested on May 11 at Miami Gardens' Hard Rock Stadium during the Rolling Loud music festival and charged with 2 counts of making a false statement on a governmental form. He allegedly lied on a form while attempting to purchase firearms in January of this year.

He was initially released after using his $600,000 home as collateral for his $500,000 bond, but a judge later revoked his bail as federal prosecutors stated that he is a danger to society due to his long history of criminal acts as well as his repeated violation of past probation rules. He later voluntarily turned himself in upon hearing of a warrant.

Kodak is also facing charges for alleged rape in February 2016 in South Carolina. He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison if found guilty in the rape case.
