Amid rumors of their troubled marriage, the "Power" actress was seemingly calling out her athlete husband during her set at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
LaLa was about to launch into her next song when she told the crowd, "To all my ladies who don't give a f**k about a n***a, make some noise." She later added, "I really don't, though." Watching footage of the moment, fans couldn't help but speculate that her second line was aimed at Carmelo, with many noting that it was "personal." Some others, meanwhile, praised LaLa for keeping up a strong front amid her troubles.
"I love seeing woman getting back centered, these dudes will throw you off your game. Good for her!" one said while another gushed over her, "I'm damn proud of her. It takes a lot of strength to leave when you truly love someone. Keep doing you Lala. It'll get easier everyday."
Rumors of their troubled marriage first emerged after Carmelo was seen enjoying a yacht ride in French with a mystery woman who is later identified as model Sara Smiri. Although Carmelo insisted at the time that the woman who was with him is married, Sara is, in fact, not. Meanwhile, LaLa appeared to confirm the cheating rumors by posting on Instagram Stories a picture of a knife stabbing a heart as blood dripped. She deleted the post shortly afterward.
Last week, a rep for LaLa confirmed that she is "proceeding with legal discussions as the next step in their relationship," adding that the couple had been "living apart for quite some time." The rep also said that the two "will remain loving and committed parents to their son," Kiyan Carmelo Anthony.
