AceShowbiz - It seems that Justin Bieber still wants to fight Tom Cruise. After claiming that his UFC fight challenge to the action movie star was a joke, the 25-year-old singer taunts the "Mission: Impossible" star while doing the bottle cap challenge.
On Sunday, July 7, Justin posted a video of him taking on the latest viral challenge. He goes shirtless, showing his array of tattoos all over his chest and arms as his white briefs peek out from underneath his red short pants.
The "Love Yourself" hitmaker tells the cameraman, "This could be Tom Cruise's head," before kicking the cap to fully unscrew it and send it flying. He doesn't forget to name the next persons whom he wants to see doing the challenge, writing in the caption, "I nominate Tom cruise and Hailey Bieber."
This wasn't the first time Justin gave a bizarre shout-out to Tom. In June, the Canadian pop star took to Twitter to share his wish to brawl with the 57-year-old actor. "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down (sic)," he tweeted, adding, "Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?"
He later backtracked on his statement, insisting that he "was just playing." The husband of Hailey Baldwin told photographers that he was just bored when he posted the tweet.
However, Ari Emanuel, co-CEO of the William Morris Endeavor Agency that owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Dana White, the president of the UFC, said that Justin did want to fight Tom. TMZ reported that Justin's team had a phone call with Dana. During the phone call, Ari allegedly said that the fight between the "Sorry" hitmaker and the "Top Gun: Maverick" actor would be "epic" and it "[needs] to happen," and Dana was said to be echoing the sentiment.
Dana also revealed he got some phone calls from "real guys" connected to the superstars, claiming the pair were up for a face-off. While Dana wouldn't say who he spoke with, he revealed they told him both Tom and Justin "really wanna do this fight." He shared, "I told them that if that's true - and everybody involved really wants to do it - we can talk. I'd be an idiot not to make this fight! That would be the easiest fight to promote in the history of my career."
Justin's challenge to Tom aside, Mariah Carey is another celebrity who just did the bottle cap challenge. Instead of showing her high-kick, the R&B diva did it her own way and unscrewed the cap with her high note. For her unique take, Twitter declares the "#Beautiful" singer as the winner of the viral challenge.
