The former 'House of Cards' star has previously pleaded not guilty for the sexual assault charges stemming from a 2016 incident in a Massachusetts bar that involved an 18-year-old man.

AceShowbiz - Actor Kevin Spacey's groping accuser has dropped a lawsuit against the Oscar winner.

Prosecutors charged Spacey with sexually assaulting the then-18 year old in a Massachusetts bar three years ago, but the former "House of Cards" star pleaded not guilty, and now his accuser has filed papers to voluntarily dismiss the civil suit with prejudice in Nantucket County Superior Court.

The criminal case against the star filed by prosecutors last year is pending.

Spacey became a big name in the #MeToo movement in October, 2017 after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of trying to seduce him in a hotel room, when he was just 14.

The movie star, who apologised for his inappropriate conduct, was later fired from Netflix show "House of Cards" and edited out of Ridley Scott's film "All the Money in the World" as more allegations about his inappropriate on-set behaviour hit the headlines.
