AceShowbiz - Another Neil Gaiman property is getting a TV adaptation treatment. The Hollywood Reporter states that the streaming giant is nearing a deal with Warner Bros. TV for the planned project of the popular comic book series from DC Comics' Vertigo imprint which has been stuck in development limbo for decades.
It is said that Netflix has signed a massive financial deal with Warner Bros. Television with a source claiming that the pact is the most expensive TV series that DC Entertainment has ever done. People may wonder why Warner Bros. didn't just develop the project for its own forthcoming streaming service. Sources reveal that the publication thinks it's better to sell the series to another outlet in order to bring in revenue.
The planned TV series will have Allan Heinberg ("Wonder Woman", "Grey's Anatomy") attached as the writer. Heinberg will also serve as showrunner on the series. Meanwhile, Gaiman and David Goyer are set to executive produce the series.

Dream), the personification of dreams, who had been imprisoned by occultists in 1906 and eventually escaped decades later in the 1980s. Now that he's free, he works to exact revenge on his captors. Adapting to the new world that he finds himself in, he rebuilds his kingdom. The comics have earned considerable critical acclaim so far.
As the deal has yet to be closed, it's unknown when the series will arrive on TV.
