Insisting that he was only poking fun at the eyepatch mix-up, the actor playing Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe tells reporters that people misinterpreted his post due to his use of expletives.

AceShowbiz - Samuel L. Jackson has insisted he's not bothered about the eyepatch mix-up on the "Spider-Man: Far From Home" posters.

Earlier this week (begs June 24), the Marvel movies regular took to Instagram to share a side-by-side of two separate posters featuring his character Nick Fury, in which his signature eye patch appears on different eyes.

Jackson captioned the images: "Uhhhhhhh, What In The Actual F**K IS GOING ON HERE???!!!" suggesting "#headsgonroll."

But speaking to reporters from USA Today at the movie's Los Angeles, California, premiere on Wednesday, he insisted the social media post was made in jest.

"I was like: 'I haven't posted anything today, I'll post this.' That's it," he shared.

Reflecting that fans probably misinterpreted the post because of his use of expletives, he added: "I use that word (f**k) a lot. Always."

"Spider-Man: Far From Home", which also stars Tom Holland in the titular role, Zendaya Coleman and Jake Gyllenhaal, debuts in cinemas on 2 July.
