But the up-and-coming raptress has since defended herself on Twitter following the backlash, with some of her fans pointing out that she has shown love to Nicki before.

AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion has recently faced the wrath of Nicki Minaj fans after she revealed her list of top five female rappers of all times in a new interview. They were not happy by the fact that the up-and-coming rapper left the "Megatron" rapper out of her list.

Stopping by "The Cruz Show" on Tuesday, June 25, Megan was asked to name five female emcees of all times, including herself. Instead of mentioning current hot raptresses like Nicki and Cardi B, Megan listed herself, Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott, Eve and Foxy Brown. The clip of the interview was posted online, and the Barbz were quick to slam Megan for snubbing their idol.

Referring to the fact that Megan named herself in the list, one sarcastically wrote, "She think she better than Nicki." One other said, "How she gone put herself and NOT nicki," while another was convinced that Megan was taking shots at Nicki as saying, "That was a obvious shot ! How is [Nicki Minaj] not included ?" Someone else gave a more kind response by commenting, "Meg what about Nicki? I know you don't have to mention her but Nicki is the queen there's no denying!" Meanwhile, an individual simply wrote, "Bye girl."

There was also one who shaded her, "It's funny how these girls come in the game and like Nicki Minaj for a second then mysteriously all these other female rappers inspired them." And that was when Megan decided enough is enough as she directly clapped back at the user, "It's funny how you're making nothing into something... I can't like the OG female hip-hop artist? I can't show love to more than one woman?"

Many of her fans have also come to her defense, with some pointing out that Megan had shown some love to Nicki before. "Why do these barbz think meg is obligated to say Nicki??? They don't even have the same style. Y'all so lame fr," one said as one other reasoned, "Her mentioning Nicki's name doesn't make any sense...they both literally came up in the same generation. The ones she listed are OG's. Yall always trying to create fake beef between female rappers."
