Responding to people who tell her to have her breasts lifted, the 'Boys Like You' singer writes on Twitter, 'I don't need to lift my breast to wear a f***ing dress.'

AceShowbiz - There were many celebrities who caught attention when hitting the red carpet at the 2019 BET Awards on Sunday, June 23, and singer Tanerelle was one of them. However, rather than earning praises for her look, the "Boys Like You" singer was body-shamed for flaunting her saggy boobs in an open-backed, low-cut dress. Many of them told her to get a lift, but Tanerelle was having none of it.

Taking to her Twitter account, Tanerelle stressed, "I don't need to lift my breast to wear a f***ing dress. I'm a woman and my natural tits hang and I f***ing love it and I have no intention of changing it to suit your gaze. I'm out here living my dreams focus on better things." Her response quickly went viral, with more than one hundred thousand people liking her post.

Despite that, there was still someone who insisted that the "Boys Like You" singer "coulda lifted them just a lil bit." Hitting back at the said person, Tanerelle wrote back, "Lift them for who? I think it looks great. That's all that matters."

Tanerelle later shared a screenshot of her Twitter post on Instagram and further explained her decision to show off her natural beauty. Admitting to have initially taped one breast, she said that she "made a conscious decision to take it off because I actually loved the way my natural breasts looked in comparison to the 'perfect' option."

She went on saying that the criticism which she received only made her feel more motivated to promote self love and self care. "You owe it to yourself to at least try to embrance the parts of you you don't like because someone else said you shouldn't. Your body, no matter it look like is doing all it can everyday to keep you alive and thriving, that to me deserves all the f***ing love and care I can give, so I'm gonna," she said.

Tanerelle is known for her female empowerment songs such as "In Women We Trust", "Dreamgirl" and "Siren". She has also embarked on an acting career by starring in "Wolf Mother" and short movie "Pretty Dudes: The Double Entendre".
