The TV star is busted at the scene and charged with assault after attacking a witness who plans to testify in the rapper's favor before she was released on her own recognizance.

AceShowbiz - "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Brittney Taylor is hit with charges of her own. The VH1 star, who previously claimed that she was attacked by Remy Ma, was arrested on Friday morning, June 14 for allegedly assaulting a witness.

It was reported that the 30-year-old was involved in the altercation inside Dina Khalil's West 42nd Street apartment near 11th Avenue. According to police and sources, she began arguing with Dina, who is reportedly a witness to the alleged Remy Ma punch, around 6:45 A.M. with Brittney allegedly scratching her. Reports also further mentioned that Brittney followed Dina to the lobby before throwing a cell phone at her face.

The TV star was busted at the scene and charged with assault. She was then released on her own recognizance, according to a Manhattan clerk.

Reports said that the reason why Brittney attacked Dina was because the latter was planning to testify in favor of Remy in the lawsuit. Brittney allegedly was looking for a checking from the raptress and Dina's testimony would "mess up" her plan.

Prior to this, Brittney claimed Remy punched her in the eye backstage at the "Pretty Lou Benefit Concert" at Irving Plaza on April 16. She then asked venue bosses to keep surveillance footage of the incident as she plotted to sue the rapper.

She also filed legal documents requesting the preservation of footage from the night she was reportedly attacked, and also asked police officials to look after video, photographs, and investigative reports linked to the incident.

"All the Way Up" hitmaker then surrendered to police as prosecutors filed four counts against Remy, including assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree. She was offered a plea deal in return for the dismissal of all the charges apart from assault in the third degree. As part of her deal, she will have to enter a long-term anger management programme. A trial is scheduled to begin in July.
