Through a post on her official Facebook page, the 'Coal Miner's Daughter' hitmaker claims she is an inch from taking 'old pesky tabloids' to 'Fist City' for harassing her with fake reports.

AceShowbiz - Country music icon Loretta Lynn has taken aim at "old pesky tabloids" over reports suggesting she is on her deathbed.

The 87-year-old, who suffered a stroke in 2017 and a broken hip last year (18), recently hit the headlines after it was claimed her relatives were sending her to an assisted living facility to spend her "final days" as her health declined.

However, the "Coal Miner's Daughter" hitmaker has since taken to her official Facebook page to assure fans that is not the case, while blasting gossips for continuing to spread false rumours about her life.

"Well, through the years they've said I'm broke, homeless, cheating, drinking, gone crazy, terminally ill and even dead! Poor things can't ever get it right," she wrote.

Clearly in a fighting mood, Lynn continued, "I guess if those old pesky tabloids are harassing me then they're giving someone else a break... but I'm about an inch from taking 'em to Fist City!"

She also uploaded a short video clip of herself reacting to the headlines, exclaiming, "You're kiddin' me!", while also adding a string of hashtags to her post, including "#fakenews" and "#yourmommashouldataughtyoubetter."

The unfounded reports emerged weeks after Lynn celebrated her birthday with an all-star tribute show in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was joined by artists including Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Little Big Town, and Jack White to celebrate her legacy.
