The body of the late Mexican icon has been laid to rest at Panteon Frances cemetery in Mexico City in a ceremony attended by husband Lorenzo Lazo, daughter Constanza and mother Ofelia Fuentes.

The 54-year-old died on Thursday, June 13, after losing her battle with ovarian cancer.

Gonzalez's body was laid to rest in Mexico City at Panteon Frances cemetery on Friday, June 14, in a ceremony attended by the actress' husband Lorenzo Lazo, their 14-year-old daughter Constanza, and her mother Ofelia Fuentes.

Earlier in the day, fans paid tribute to Gonzalez at a memorial service held at Teatro Jorge Negrete, with stars including Andrea Noli, Mauricio Islas, Sherlyn, Yadhira Carrillo, Juan Osorio, Fernando Carrillo, Maribel Guardia, and Vanessa Claudio in attendance.

The stage was adorned with white flowers and photos of Gonzalez, and Fuentes shared a few words with the crowd about her legendary daughter.

"Viva Mexico, viva mi nina que se nos fue (long live my girl who left us)," she said. "I don't have the words to thank my pueblo (town), my Mexico, my little one is gone, but my pueblo remains, my Mexico, thank you."

Two members of the music group PandoraIsabel Lascurain and Mayte Lascurain – also took to the stage to sing "Si Nos Dejan" with a mariachi band.

Gonzalez began her career as a child actor in the 1970s, and her TV credits include telenovelas "Corazon Salvaje", "Mujer de Madera", "Dona Barbara", "Palabra de Mujer", "Las Bravo" and "Eva la Trailera".
