Known from having a complicated love life, the 46-year-old African rapper joining the hit VH1 show will give a new explosive drama that will serve as a good addition to the storyline.

AceShowbiz - "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" will reportedly welcome some new faces in the upcoming season. MTO News suggests that rapper Akon and his longtime girlfriend Tricia Ana are heading to the hit VH1 series.

According to the site, the 46-year-old African rapper will be joining the cast members of the reality show. The hip-hop star is known to have as many as four wives, though it remains to be seen whether or not he is still married.

With that being said, him joining the show will give a new explosive drama that will serve as a good addition to the storyline. Additionally, it is said that fans of the show can expect a higher production quality in the upcoming season as VH1 had hired a new production team for season 6.

If the new report is to be believed, Akon will join Safaree Samuels, Soulja Boy, Kimberly, Teairra Mari, Moniece Slaughter, Nikki Mudarris, Brooke Valentine, Lyrica Anderson, Floyd Bentley a.k.a. A1, Ray J, Fizz, Marcuss Blac and Daniel Gilbson a.k.a. Booby. The show also features Brigdet Kelly, Solo Lucci, A.D. Diggs, Ray Cunningham, Apple Watts, Paris Phillips, Roccstar and Apryl Jones among others.

This arrives after Princess Love announced her departure from the show back in May. "Thank you for all of your support over the years but I will no longer be a part of Love and Hip Hop," the longtime cast member wrote on late Sunday, May 26. Princess didn't provide further explanation as to why she decided to exit the reality show. As for the caption, Princess only left a heart emoji.

Fans seemingly were being supportive for the wife of Ray J (Ray Jay Norwood)'s decision. "You are a mom now, good choice," a fan wrote in the comment section. Another comment read, "Good sis. That show is toxic." Another user wrote, "Happily married with a baby, that show doesn’t like that kind of energy."

Rumor had it, Princess was fired from the show because she did not have a storyline. Additionally, she was said to be asking producers to give her minimal drama if she did return and planning to bring in all of the Norwoods to the show. The idea was allegedly rejected because it would cost the show too much.

It remains to be seen if Ray J will still star in the next season of "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" or he's walking away from the show as well.
