After finding out that their Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix Benny went missing, Max and Sophie Troper desperately reach out to 'The Predator' actress who is an investor in pet walking app Wag.

AceShowbiz - Actress Olivia Munn has successfully helped a New York couple track down its missing dog after the pooch was allegedly stolen by an employee of pet walking app Wag.

Max and Sophie Troper reached out to the "Magic Mike" star in a desperate post on Instagram on Thursday, June 13 after their Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix Benny went missing.

An investor in the company, Munn also acts as Wag's creative strategist and celebrity spokeswoman, and she immediately made herself available early on Friday to try and help the distraught owners.

"She was up with us at 4am until 6am just trying to talk through everything and figure out a game plan," Sophie told the New York Post.

Troper and her husband Max use the on-demand dog walking service regularly, providing employees with sole access to their spare key, and had booked a 1.30 pm stroll for Thursday, but when the assigned walker showed up at their home, Benny wasn't there.

Security footage from their apartment building showed a man walking in at around 11 am and leaving with Benny.

The Tropers didn't recognise the male as a walker they had used before, and reported the dognapping to the police and Wag officials, who offered up their assistance to authorities and put up a monetary reward for Benny's safe return.

Cops managed to locate the pet and on Friday afternoon, Sophie and Max were reunited with their dog.

A 22-year-old man, identified as Christian Madriaga, has since been arrested and charged with counts of burglary.
