AceShowbiz - The countdown has officially started. After much anticipation, J. Cole and the Dreamville have finally released the first two singles off the upcoming compilation album "Revenge of the Dreamers III". Cole lends his voice to track "Down Bad" along with Bas, JID, EarthGang's Olu and Young Nudy, while Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla $ign, Omen and Dreezy join forces on "Got Me".

The first song finds Cole and his companion flexing their lyrical muscle over production from Pluss, with the "KOD" rapper serving up some memorable bars. "B***h, we came from nothin' just like the big bang theory/ That poverty stains kept the pain buried/ And covered the shame with a dream," he spits. "We would have fortune and fame/ A mill' in the bank, chameleon paint turned cranberry/ Now little Jermaine got the same story."

"Got Me", on the other hand, is the complete opposite of "Down Bad", featuring $ign and others getting sultry as they deliver the bars on the summery song. "Hold me tighter when I'm trippin'/ Fore the lighter, let's get lifted/ I done ran into a long of wrong n***s with right intentions/ S**t like therapy 'cause you know how to talk and when to listen," Dreezy raps. "Kind of love when it don't change if I'm natural or with extensions."

Cole has been teasing the release of "ROTD III" since January of this year, with Dreamville president Ibrahim Hamad previously teasing that the album would comprise of many different elements and energies. "The hardest part was finding how to bring those energies together and still make it feel like an album, like something that represents us," he said at the time. "It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. But the music is so good."

Besides the rappers who are featured on both "Got Me" and "Down Bad", the album will include appearances from the likes of Ludacris and T.I. among others. It's set to be released sometime this year.
