Bosses at Creative Care, Inc. claims the former 'All That' star owed them $2,500 for her treatment after checking into their Los Angeles-area facility for a one night stay back in February.

AceShowbiz - Actress Amanda Bynes has been slapped with a lawsuit over allegations of an unpaid medical bill.

The "Hairspray" star checked in to a Los Angeles-area facility for a one night stay back in February, but she reportedly failed to settle the fee, and is now facing legal action from bosses at Creative Care, Inc.

Court papers obtained by the New York Post's Page Six state the 33-year-old owes officials just under $2,500 (£2,000) for her treatment.

It's not clear what Bynes required medical attention for, but in March, it was reported that she had suffered a relapse in her mental health battle earlier in the year, and had been seeking help from professionals and addiction counsellors.

In April, her family lawyer, Tamar Arminak, insisted Bynes was "doing great" and had been focusing on her well-being.

She has been keeping a relatively low profile since 2013, when she was hospitalised on a 72-hour mental-health evaluation hold following her increasingly erratic behaviour at the time.

She was subsequently placed under a conservatorship by her mother, who will remain in charge of her health and medical decisions until August, 2020.

Representatives for Bynes have yet to comment on the legal action.
